Need the exact model number first? Use the Appliance Model Number Finder.
Appliance Error Code Lookup
Select the appliance brand and type, then enter the error code exactly as it appears. The lookup uses manufacturer support documentation for the code families currently included. Error meanings can vary by model, so confirm your model number before acting on any result.
Brands and Error Codes Currently Covered
This first version covers manufacturer-verified code families for LG and Samsung washers, LG/Samsung/GE/Whirlpool dishwashers, and Whirlpool washers. The database will expand only when the code meaning can be tied to official manufacturer documentation or a model-specific manual.
Why the Model Number Matters
Error codes are not universal. The same letters or numbers can mean different things across brands, appliance categories, and even model families. Some manufacturers explicitly document codes whose meaning changes by model. Use this lookup as a starting point, then verify the model-specific manual before replacing parts or repeatedly clearing a fault.
If there is no match, use the Appliance Problem Checker to work from the symptom instead. You can also request appliance repair and include the brand, model number, and exact error code.
